Anyone in possession of a First Solar PV Module can request collection at any time.

First Solar has established the industry's first comprehensive PV module collection and recycling program to encourage the recovery and reuse of module materials. The program enables substantially all components of the modules, including the glass and the encapsulated semiconductor material, to be treated and processed into new modules or other products. While ensuring that these materials are either disposed of appropriately or incorporated into new products, First Solar is preventing the modules from entering local communities as municipal waste.

• The original module owner is required to register their installation with First Solar so that we may maintain an accurate database of module installations. Installation records are used to estimate future collection costs, as well as to develop strategies that minimize the environmental impact of collection.
• At any time, anyone in possession of a First Solar module may make a request for collection and recycling.
• First Solar will pay all packaging, transportation and recycling costs. The owner's only requirement is to dismantle and package the modules in accordance with First Solar's instruction.
